Yellowstone Park

Once known only to the American Indian medicine men as a holy place, where no man could set foot due to the proximity of the gods.
John Colter was the first white man to discover the area. Due to disbelief of his accounts it was nicknamed "Colter's Hell." Evan when scientists from back east came they were accused of "making up stories" until photographic proof started to surface.
In 1872 the United States Congress created the world's first national park. A place set aside because of its natural beauty and fragility. The area has become a favorite among travelers and vacationing families. The wildlife is plentiful, (though many native species have dwindled since the introduction of non-native wolves in 1995) and varied the vistas breath-taking.
