Rodeo
A true American tradition. Rodeo was born of real cowboys having to deal with the facts of life while trying to move cattle across the western territories of The United States during the gold rush years . They had to be able to ride a horse that wasn't yet trained and at the same time manage cattle with that same horse. The real cowboy was and is a lot more than what we see at most rodeos, but rodeo brings us close to our western heritage and lets us glimpse for a moment our history.
I prefer outdoor rodeos for several reasons, one of which is way better lighting for photography, I include however photographs from the not so well lit confines of indoor rodeos too.
